Ishikawa Organic Matcha

The tea farm producing this matcha is located in highlands that is 650 meters (2,133 feet) above sea level to prevent insects from surviving in winter. Therefore, neither pesticides nor artificial fertilizers have been used since the tea trees were planted. Moreover, this farm owned and operated by Ishikawa family is the first farm qualified as an organic-matcha-producing farm in Japan. Please enjoy this aromatic organic matcha at your home.

Yamenohana

Yame is the name of the place in Kyushu, which is famous for production of quality tea leaves from old times. The climate in Yame area is ideal for a tea farm because of the adequate rainfall and a great difference of temperature in a day that bring fogs, which reduce direct sunshine to tea trees. Even though Yamenohana is affordable matcha, the bitterness in tease is harmonious with its natural umami flavor.

Hoshinotsuyu

Tea farms in Hoshino Village is fertile near a river often bringing fogs, so the village has been developed as a quality-tea-producing district, which is famous for its Gyokuro, green tea of the best quality. The technique of making Gyokuro is applied to the way of making this quality matcha. Please enjoy toasted deep aroma and umami flavor.

Seiju

Seiju is the highest-quality matcha in taste, aroma and color made by Hoshino-Seichaen. Tencha, flakes of dried tea leaves before being ground into powder, is tested every year to clarify the quality of tencha, and this matcha is made only from limited top-10th-quality tencha with stone mills in the best condition. Please enjoy the deepest taste and purest aroma.
