Welcome to Setsugekka

Women of the Hanamachi by Michael Greenberger

About us

Setsugekka ”雪月華” is in Manhattan, New York, as a tea shop where you can relax and enjoy a variety of excellent matcha green tea from Japan. You can also try tea sweets and baked cake, which are from New York locally as well as Japan.

What does Setsugekka mean?

Setsugekka is composed of three Kanji characters, which literally mean snow, moon and flowers. They represent the most beautiful scenery of each season and then have become the sense of beauty that Japanese feel in each season. If you think that one of the seasons might be omitted, you are correct. To know the reason, please visit us!
