Open Tea Ceremony

We are happy to offer an opportunity to experience an hour of authentic Japanese tea ceremony. Guests of the tea ceremony will enjoy a bowl of matcha green tea as well as a tea sweet.

The tea master, Souheki Mori, has been a practitioner of the Japanese tea ceremony for over 25 years and has been teaching Japanese tea ceremony in New York since 2013. We've been receiving so many inquiries about holding the tea ceremony, and finally this will be the first tea ceremony following the pandemic. Thank you so much for your kind patience.

Souheki will first give a short lecture on Japanese tea ceremony explaining what Japanese tea ceremony is and the essential philosophy before starting the ceremony. We hope guests will leave with a deeper understanding of this profound culture and a precious memory of pristine beauty and serenity with the master and other guests.

We look forward to seeing you in person and serving a bowl of matcha specially prepared for you.
