Originally, kintsugi technique was for connecting broken pieces of ceramics using gold and urushi lacquer. However, it can be very time consuming to follow the traditional technique strictly, and there is a risk of allergic reaction to natural urushi lacquer.

In this workshop, we will show you a modern version of the technique that can be done quickly and safely. Materials used in the technique are epoxy resin lacquer and brass powder.

At Globus Chashitsu on Friday, November 17, 6 pm - 8 pm, we will hold Yobitsugi workshop. You will choose multiple parts and put them into one artworks. We will use a white bamboo tea scoop as a base, but if you would like to bring your own wooden spoon or muddler, please feel free to bring your own item as a base.

At Setsugekka on Thursday, November 16, 2 pm - 4 pm and Sunday, November 19, 10 am - 12 pm, we will hold Kintsugi and Yobitsugi workshop. There are two courses with different goal. So, please mention which course you would like to join when you make a reservation.
